A Short Extension

In the light of the disruption to the negotiations caused by COVID-19, the United Kingdom Government could consider a brief extension. However, it is hard to ascertain that a brief extension(also referred to as, Brexit short extension), possibly of only a couple of months, would end in quite a basic deal and, of course, any second wave of COVID-19 could negate implementation of such an extension.

In the case of a short extension to Brexit, Major impact areas thus include, logistics, non-tariff barriers and pre-existing barriers to trade. Beyond this extension, the needs change basis the probable outcome.
